After geopolitics forced him into exile, Alexei Molchanov, the world’s greatest living diver and son of freediving pioneer Natalya Molchanov, has spent 2023 on a journey to reclaim his sporting glory and honor his mother’s iconic legacy by attempting the most dominant season in the history of a deadly sport. His near-suicidal quest to set five world records in under four months takes him to the farthest corners of the globe and to the very limits of human performance. In the process, he is forced to reevaluate every skill and belief he has built his entire life on.
