Disregarding his training and ethics, he finds himself making major changes in people’s lives – including his own. When Brett Goldstein, Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence were asked how they got Harrison Ford to appear on the show, Segel said that Goldstein originally wanted “the Harrison Ford guy,” he said, and was auditioning people who looked like Ford. Segel told Goldstein that they had to at least get him to Ford first, figuring he would reject him outright, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had brought the project to the table, generating interest from other notable actors.

And Jessica is perfect
He has the awkward, idiotically confident energy needed for this role. Her humor is perfect for the dialogue. This is a new way of dealing with the situation. There are no real standouts, just engaging personalities with a touch of quirkiness and family circumstances that are a little above the norm but still relatable.
You would lose your license immediately
Sure, Jimmy’s behavior as a therapist is completely absurd. Just impossible. But we allow metaphorical situations in the drama. And in this scenario, we feel a strong sense of purpose in the decisions.
